Four Points by Sheraton Destin-Fort Walton Beach

We really enjoyed our stay at the Four Points Sheraton in Fort Walton Beach. The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable, and we especially liked the traditional two-story building rooms. They were perfect for traveling with our dog — easy parking right in front of the room made unloading simple, and walking her out was no hassle. The beach here is dog-friendly before 9 am and after 6 pm, which worked great for morning and evening strolls (much better for their paws when the sand isn’t scorching hot). Breakfast was a highlight with a nice variety that rotated daily, plus eggs cooked to order. They’ll even leave a small coffee pot on your table if you ask, which makes it easy to have hot refills ready. Lunch and dinner food was also solid — the wedge salad and fries were particularly delicious, and prices felt fair, not resort-gouged. If you want a Gulf view, the tower rooms with balconies are lovely, but we honestly preferred the courtyard rooms for the convenience. After staying there, we would happily choose that type again. Even if you’re not a guest, I’d recommend coming by for sunset. The tiki bar makes excellent cocktails, and walking down to the beach at golden hour gives you a gorgeous view and a perfect spot for photos with friends or family. All around, it’s a welcoming, pet-friendly property with great food, easy parking, and unbeatable access to the beach.

We had a wonderful experience at Four Points Ft Walton Beach. The room was very clean and had been newly renovated. We loved the little balcony facing the pool. The grounds were beautifuly maintained. The pools were not heated just if anyone is curious. I loved the very short walk to the beautiful beach front. We also received 2 free drink cards and a 25 dollar credit for food when we checked in which bought us a delicious pizza we shared in our room. Great experience overall

The employees totally make this location!! While the resort is a touch antiquated, they have really made the best of it. The rooms are updated on the interior, clean and well equipped. The larger hotel fridge AND sink was a bonus! We stayed in the beach tower and the exterior hallways could use a good pressure wash. Now, the PEOPLE!! From Tonya at the front desk, David at the lobby bar, Kelsey at the Upper Deck, and Andreas at breakfast....EVERYONE we encountered was nice, welcoming, and super friendly!! Checking in was seamless, the resort credit daily give-back was nice, and even the food at Upper Deck was a win!! Family pool was warmer and sea side pool was cooler. We WILL be back here, gladly, and will recommend it to others.

Our family visited Dustin area in the winter break. We had an amazing experience. It started with cathy helping us with the check-in and upgrading us to the gulf facing rooms. The rooms are very good and the service overall at the property was great. The location was fantastic. Just walking over to the beach and coming back to the room and the kids loved it. The food at the restaurant was great

We stayed here a week and loved it. The breakfast was free each day, we received a $25 credit towards drinks or food daily. We also received a welcome drink, the pools,/hot tub wax nice. We had a balcony which l loved, watched the dolphins from there every morning. This location is on the beach extra plus, we'll return next year about the same time and maybe bring family along. Everyone was so professional.

Very nice improvements from a past visit. Had a great time sitting at the bar enjoying a drink and some pizza. Will pass on the load fries next time but the pizza was loaded with good toppings. Bartender was very friendly and entertaining. Easy check in. The destination fee wasn’t a shocker but wondering why it was needed.

This property should be understood for what it is—and judged fairly on that basis. Four Points by Sheraton Destin–Fort Walton Beach is an economy / extended-stay–style hotel, and by no means a luxury resort. That said, it is more than decent and very well executed within its category. The rooms are well maintained, comfortable, and in good overall condition. Nothing extravagant, but everything works as it should, which is ultimately what matters most. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the entire check-in process followed Marriott’s procedures flawlessly. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I felt recognized and at ease from the very beginning. One of the hotel’s strongest assets is its location: it is literally beachfront, directly facing the ocean, which adds tremendous value to the stay. The property offers all the essential amenities one would expect— a well-equipped gym, a pleasant pool, and common areas that are clean and functional. There is no unnecessary opulence here, but there is consistency, good upkeep, and thoughtful service—and in this segment, that is exactly what one should hope for.

I stayed here with my husband and family for vacation. I loved that it was right on the beach. The free drink coupon at check in was nice, as well as the daily $25 food and beverage credit. I would recommend getting a 2 queen bed room because the bathroom for the king room with the sofa sleeper is TINY. Other than that the staff was great and the property was really nice. I would consider staying here again.
